| 1 | AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 3249

| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 3249 as follows: | ||||||
| 3 | on page 5, immediately below the line 19, by inserting the | ||||||
| 4 | following: | ||||||
| 5 | ""Salvage auction" means a person or entity whose primary | ||||||
| 6 | business is the sale of motor vehicles for which insurance | ||||||
| 7 | companies have made payment of damages on total loss claims."; | ||||||
| 8 | and
| ||||||
| 9 | on page 8, immediately below line 11, by inserting the | ||||||
| 10 | following:
| ||||||
| 11 | "(j) This Act does not apply to a salvage auction or the | ||||||
| 12 | employee of a salvage auction when engaged in an activity | ||||||
| 13 | otherwise covered by this Act if the activity is conducted by | ||||||
| 14 | the employee on behalf of that salvage auction. | ||||||
| 15 | (k) This Act does not apply to a towing company or towing | ||||||
| 16 | operator when the company or operator is acting on behalf of a | ||||||
