AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2488

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2488 on page 3, by replacing line 1 with "mode. As used in this Subsection (e), "construction or maintenance project" means an area of a highway with construction, maintenance, or utility work activities and identified by the placement of temporary traffic control devices such as, but not limited to, signs, channelizing devices, barriers, pavement markings, work vehicles with warning lights, or any combination thereof, and extending from the first orange sign warning of road work or construction ahead or rotating or flashing lights on a vehicle to the last temporary traffic control device."; and

on page 3, below line 3, by inserting the following:

"Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.".
