AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 153

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 153 as follows:

on page 5, by replacing lines 7 through 11 with the following:

"(A) has successfully completed a massage therapy program the curriculum or curriculums of one or more massage therapy schools approved by the Department that requires require a minimum of 500 hours, except applicants applying on or after January 1, 2016 shall met a minimum requirement of 750 hours, and has passed a competency examination approved by the Department;"; and

on page 5, by replacing lines 15 through 21 with the following:

"(C) (blank). has moved to Illinois from a jurisdiction with no licensure requirement and has provided documentation that he or she has successfully passed the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork's examination or another massage therapist certifying examination approved by the Department and maintains current certification.".
