1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 5814
2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 5814 by replacing
3 everything after the enacting clause with the following:

4     "Section 5. The Illinois Municipal Code is amended by
5 adding Section 11-42-15 as follows:

6     (65 ILCS 5/11-42-15 new)
7     Sec. 11-42-15. Renewable energy systems. For renewable
8 energy systems other than those used exclusively by an end
9 user, a municipality may prohibit any renewable energy system
10 device from locating less than 1,000 feet from a residential
11 area, provided that the regulation is not inconsistent with
12 another municipality's zoning regulation.

13     Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
14 becoming law.".
