AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2927

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2927 on page 3,
3immediately below line 7, by inserting the following:
4    "(j) "Fringe benefits" means all non-salary costs for each
5person employed under the program, including, but not limited
6to, workers compensation, unemployment insurance, and health
7benefits, as would be provided to non-subsidized employees
8performing similar work."; and
 
9on page 3, line 8, by replacing "(j)" with "(k)"; and
 
10on page 3, line 11, by replacing "(k)" with "(l)"; and
 
11on page 3, line 24, by replacing "(l)" with "(m)"; and
 
12on page 3, line 26, by replacing "(m)" with "(n)"; and
 
13by replacing everything from line 22 on page 9 through line 1

1on page 10 with the following:
2    "(b) The Secretary of Human Services shall make available
3to each employment administrator lists of local child care
4providers through the Child Care Resource and Referral Network
5available to persons employed under the program. The Director
6of Children and Family Services shall provide to each
7employment administrator lists of currently licensed local day
8care facilities, updated quarterly, to be available to all
9persons employed under the program."; and
 
10by replacing everything from line 15 on page 16 through line 7
11on page 17 with the following:
 
12    (20 ILCS 630/17 new)
13    Sec. 17. Work incentive demonstration project. The
14Coordinator and members of the Advisory Committee shall explore
15available resources to leverage in combination with the wage
16subsidies in this Act to develop a Transitional Jobs program.
17This Transitional Jobs program would prioritize services for
18individuals with limited experience in the labor market and
19barriers to employment, including but not limited to,
20recipients of Temporary Assistance to Needy Families,
21Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or other related
22public assistance, and people with criminal records.".
