AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2065

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2065 as follows:

by replacing line 21 on page 4 through line 8 on page 5 with the following: "individual major medical policy of accident and health insurance or managed care plan amended, delivered, issued, or renewed after the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 97th General Assembly that provides coverage for hospital care shall include coverage for observation care services considered to be medically necessary as covered by Medicare. The services are subject to relevant notification on and reasonable review and utilization standards required by the policy or plan for hospital services.".
