| 1 | | AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 223
| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 223 by replacing | 3 | | everything after the enacting clause with the following:
| 4 | | "Section 1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the | 5 | | Health

| 7 | | recognizes that the U.S. census reported that on any given day

uninsured Illinoisans will decrease dramatically. | 11 | | However,
there will still be tens of thousands of uninsured | 12 | | Illinoisans.
The General Assembly believes that the State must | 13 | | work in
cooperation with the federal government to implement | 14 | | these
federal reforms effectively and in a thoughtful and | 15 | | expedited
manner. |
