AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1927

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1927, AS AMENDED,
3with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment No.
41 as follows:
 
5on page 12, line 20, by replacing "process" with "processes";
6and
 
7on page 12, line 23, by replacing "as required" with "and to
8retain an expert to assist in the review of contracts"; and
 
9on page 12, line 24, by replacing "and" with ". This Code"; and
 
10on page 27, line 4, by deleting "gasification"; and
 
11on page 28, line 10, by deleting "and approve"; and
 
12on page 28, line 11, by replacing "contracts, ensuring" with

1"contract and approve that formula if the Illinois Power Agency
2determines"; and
 
3on page 28, by replacing line 22 with "subsection (h); If the
4Illinois Power Agency does not approve of the SNG pricing
5formula, then the Illinois Power Agency shall modify the
6formula to ensure that it meets the requirements of this
7subsection (h);"; and
 
8by replacing line 25 on page 29 through line 5 on page 30 with
9"Illinois Power Agency may, in its discretion, retain an
10independent, qualified, and experienced expert to assist in its
11obligations under this subsection (h). The Illinois Power
12Agency shall adopt and make public policies detailing the
13processes for retaining a mediator and an expert under this
14subsection (h). Any mediator or expert retained under this
15subsection (h) shall be retained no later than 60 days after
16the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 96th General
17Assembly."; and
 
18on page 30, line 11, after "mediator's", by inserting "and
19expert's"; and
 
20on page 64, line 9, after "contracts" by inserting "entered
21into under subsection (h) of this Section".
