1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1675
2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1675 by replacing
3 everything after the enacting clause with the following:

4     "Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Section
5 27-3.5 as follows:

6     (105 ILCS 5/27-3.5 new)
7     Sec. 27-3.5. Congressional Medal of Honor film. Each school
8 district shall require that all students in grade 7 and all
9 high school students enrolled in a course concerning history of
10 the United States or a combination of history of the United
11 States and American government view a Congressional Medal of
12 Honor film made by the Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation.
13 This requirement does not apply if the Congressional Medal of
14 Honor Foundation charges the school district a fee for a film.

15     Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1,
