AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4990

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4990, AS AMENDED, with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment No. 1, on page 1, by replacing line 6 with "2.21, 2.22, and 2.23 as follows:"; and

on page 2, immediately below line 11, by inserting the following:

"Section 5. The Emergency Telephone System Act is amended by adding Section 2.23 as follows:

(50 ILCS 750/2.23 new)

Sec. 2.23. Qualified governmental agency. "Qualified governmental agency" means a unit of local government authorized to provide 9-1-1 services pursuant to the Emergency Telephone System Act where no emergency telephone system board exists."; and

on page 2, by replacing lines 17 through 20 with the following:

"For the limited purpose of permitting a board, a qualified governmental entity, a group of boards, or a group of qualified governmental entities to"; and

on page 4, by replacing lines 24 and 25 with the following:

"A board, a qualified governmental entity, a group of boards, or a group of qualified governmental entities involved in a Regional Pilot Project to".
