| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The University of Illinois Act is amended by |
| 5 |
| changing Section 4.1 as follows:
|

| (110 ILCS 305/4.1) (from Ch. 144, par. 25.1)

| Sec. 4.1. Chancellor search committee. Whenever the

| board of trustees
establishes a search committee to fill the |
| 9 |
| position of chancellor at any
campus of the University of |
| 10 |
| Illinois, there shall be minority
representation, including |

| women, on that search committee. |
