1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 783
2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 783 by replacing
3 everything after the enacting clause with the following:

4     "Section 5. The Department of Commerce and Economic
5 Opportunity Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is
6 amended by adding Section 605-965 as follows:

7     (20 ILCS 605/605-965 new)
8     Sec. 605-965. Grant award database. The Department shall
9 establish and maintain an electronic searchable database that
10 provides information regarding grants that are awarded by the
11 Department. The database must be available to the public on the
12 Department's Internet website. The database must contain all of
13 the following information with respect to each grant that is
14 awarded by the Department:
15         (1) the name and address of the grantee;
16         (2) the amount of the grant;

1         (3) the purpose of the grant; and
2         (4) the House and Senate legislative district in which
3     the address of the grantee is located.".
