SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

20 ILCS 105/3.05   from Ch. 23, par. 6103.05

    Amends the Illinois Act on the Aging. Makes a technical change in a Section defining "aged" or "senior citizen".

1     AN ACT concerning State government.

2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:

4     Section 5. The Illinois Act on the Aging is amended by
5 changing Section 3.05 as follows:

6     (20 ILCS 105/3.05)  (from Ch. 23, par. 6103.05)
7     Sec. 3.05. "Aged" or "Senior citizen" means a person of 55
8 years of age or older, or a person nearingthe~~the~~ age of 55 for
9 whom opportunities for employment and participation in
10 community life are unavailable or severely limited and who, as
11 a result thereof, has difficulty in maintaining
12 self-sufficiency and contributing to the life of the community.
