 1        AN ACT to amend the State Gift Ban Act.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.  The State Gift Ban Act is amended by changing
 5    Section 10 as follows:

 6        (5 ILCS 425/10)
 7        Sec. 10.  Gift ban.  Except as otherwise provided in this
 8    Act, no member, officer, employee, or judge shall solicit  or
 9    accept any gift from any prohibited source or in violation of
10    any  federal or State statute, rule, or regulation.  This ban
11    applies to and  includes  spouses  of  and  immediate  family
12    living  with  the  member,  officer,  employee,  or judge. No
13    prohibited source shall offer or make a  gift  that  violates
14    this Section 10.
