 1                    AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 640

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend Senate Bill 640  by  replacing
 3    everything after the enacting clause with the following:

 4        "Section  5.  The  Code  of Civil Procedure is amended by
 5    adding Sections 7-103.102, 7-103.103,  7-103.104,  7-103.105,
 6    7-103.106, and 7-103.107 as follows:

 7        (735 ILCS 5/7-103.102 new)
 8        Sec.   7-103.102.  Quick-take;   Gurler   Road   Project.
 9    Quick-take  proceedings under Section 7-103 may be used for a
10    period of 12 of months  after  the  effective  date  of  this
11    amendatory  Act  of  the 93rd General Assembly by Ogle County
12    and Lee County for the acquisition of property  necessary  to
13    extend  Gurler  Road, on the county line between Ogle and Lee
14    counties, from Brooklyn to Grange Road  in  conjunction  with
15    the   construction   of   a   railroad   overpass   to  allow
16    uninterrupted traffic access across the railroad siding.

18        Sec. 7-103.103. Quick-take; Mt. Vernon Township/Jefferson
19    County.  Quick-take proceedings under Section  7-103  may  be
20    used for a period of 3 years after the effective date of this
21    amendatory  Act  of  the  93rd General Assembly by Mt. Vernon

 1    Township/Jefferson County for the acquisition of all property
 2    necessary for the purpose of improving  Green  Road  with  an
 3    overpass  over  the  Union  Pacific  Railroad  and Casey Fork
 4    Creek.

 6        Sec. 7-103.104.  Quick-take;  Lake  County.    Quick-take
 7    proceedings under Section 7-103 may be used for a period of 2
 8    years  after the effective date of this amendatory Act of the
 9    93rd General Assembly by Lake County for the  acquisition  of
10    property  necessary  for  the  purpose  of  improving  County
11    Highway  31  (Rollins  Road)  from  Illinois Route 83 to U.S.
12    Route 45.

14        Sec. 7-103.105.  Quick-take;  Lake  County.    Quick-take
15    proceedings under Section 7-103 may be used for a period of 2
16    years  after the effective date of this amendatory Act of the
17    93rd General Assembly by Lake County for the  acquisition  of
18    property  necessary  for  the  purpose  of  improving  County
19    Highway 45 (Washington Street) from Illinois Route 83 to U.S.
20    Route 45.

22        Sec.   7-103.106.  Quick-take;   County   of   La  Salle.
23    Quick-take proceedings under Section 7-103 may be used for  a
24    period  of  12  months  after  the  effective  date  of  this
25    amendatory  Act of the 93rd General Assembly by the County of
26    La Salle for highway purposes for the acquisition of property
27    described as follows:
28        County Highway 3 (F.A.S. Route 259) over  the  Fox  River
29    north  of  the  Village  of  Sheridan, Illinois, BEGINNING at
30    Station -(3+00) on County Highway 3 south of the intersection
31    of Bushnell Street, according to the "Right-of-Way Plans  for

 1    proposed  Federal  Aid  Highway,  F.A.S.  Route 259 (C.H. 3),
 2    Section  98-00545-00-BR,  La  Salle  County,"  and  extending
 3    3,696.07 feet northerly along the survey centerline for  said
 4    route  to  Station  33+96.07  at  the  intersection of County
 5    Highway 3 and North  42nd  Road;  AND  BEGINNING  at  Station
 6    497+00  on  the  survey  centerline  of  North  42nd Road and
 7    extending 500.00  feet  easterly  along  said  centerline  to
 8    Station  502+00;  the  net  length  for  land acquisition and
 9    authorization being 4,196.07 feet (0.795 miles)  all  located
10    in  Section  5,  Township 35 North, Range 5 East of the Third
11    Principal Meridian, La Salle County, Illinois.

18    rights-of-way for the purpose of road construction:
