 1                    AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 640

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend Senate Bill 640, by  replacing
 3    everything after the enacting clause with the following:

 4        "Section  5.  The  Code  of Civil Procedure is amended by
 5    adding Sections 7-103.102, 7-103.103,  7-103.104,  7-103.105,
 6    7-103.106, 7-103.107, 7-103.108, and 7-103.109 as follows:

 7        (735 ILCS 5/7-103.102 new)
 8        Sec.  7-103.102.  Quick-take;  Lake  County.   Quick-take
 9    proceedings under Section 7-103 may be used for a period of 2
10    years after the effective date of this amendatory Act of  the
11    93rd  General  Assembly by Lake County for the acquisition of
12    property  necessary  for  the  purpose  of  improving  County
13    Highway 31 (Rollins Road) from  Illinois  Route  83  to  U.S.
14    Route 45.

16        Sec.  7-103.103.  Quick-take;  Lake  County.   Quick-take
17    proceedings under Section 7-103 may be used for a period of 2
18    years after the effective date of this amendatory Act of  the
19    93rd  General  Assembly by Lake County for the acquisition of
20    property  necessary  for  the  purpose  of  improving  County
21    Highway 45 (Washington Street) from Illinois Route 83 to U.S.

 3        Sec.  7-103.104.  Quick-take;   County   of   La   Salle.
 4    Quick-take  proceedings under Section 7-103 may be used for a
 5    period  of  12  months  after  the  effective  date  of  this
 6    amendatory Act of the 93rd General Assembly by the County  of
 7    La Salle for highway purposes for the acquisition of property
 8    described as follows:
 9        County  Highway  3  (F.A.S. Route 259) over the Fox River
10    north of the Village  of  Sheridan,  Illinois,  BEGINNING  at
11    Station -(3+00) on County Highway 3 south of the intersection
12    of  Bushnell Street, according to the "Right-of-Way Plans for
13    proposed Federal Aid Highway,  F.A.S.  Route  259  (C.H.  3),
14    Section  98-00545-00-BR,  La  Salle  County,"  and  extending
15    3,696.07  feet northerly along the survey centerline for said
16    route to Station  33+96.07  at  the  intersection  of  County
17    Highway  3  and  North  42nd  Road;  AND BEGINNING at Station
18    497+00 on the  survey  centerline  of  North  42nd  Road  and
19    extending  500.00  feet  easterly  along  said  centerline to
20    Station 502+00; the  net  length  for  land  acquisition  and
21    authorization  being  4,196.07 feet (0.795 miles) all located
22    in Section 5, Township 35 North, Range 5 East  of  the  Third
23    Principal Meridian, La Salle County, Illinois.
