 1                    AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3730

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill 3730,  by  deleting
 3    everything  after  the  enacting clause and inserting in lieu
 4    thereof the following:

 5                             "ARTICLE 1

 6        Section 5.  The sum of $56,522,701, or so much thereof as
 7    may be necessary, is appropriated from  the  General  Revenue
 8    Fund  to the Board of Trustees of Western Illinois University
 9    for any expenditures or purposes authorized by law, including
10    payment to the University for personal services  and  related
11    costs incurred.

12        Section 10.  The amount of $10,000, or so much thereof as
13    may  be necessary, is appropriated from the State College and
14    University Trust Fund to the Board  of  Trustees  of  Western
15    Illinois  University  for  scholarship  grant awards from the
16    sale of collegiate license plates.

17        Section 99.  Effective date.  This Act  takes  effect  on
18    July 1, 2003."
