 1                    AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3727

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill 3727,  by  deleting
 3    everything  after  the  enacting clause and inserting in lieu
 4    thereof the following:

 5                             "ARTICLE 1

 6        Section 5.  The sum of $38,403,546, or so much thereof as
 7    may be necessary, is appropriated from  the  General  Revenue
 8    Fund  to the Board of Trustees of Chicago State University to
 9    meet the ordinary and contingent expenses of  the  Board  and
10    its  educational  institution, including reimbursement to the
11    University for personal services and related  costs  incurred
12    for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2004.

13        Section  10.  The  sum of $250,000, or so much thereof as
14    may be necessary, is appropriated from  the  General  Revenue
15    Fund to the Board of Trustees of Chicago State University for
16    the Financial Assistance Outreach Center.

17        Section 15.  The sum of $2,400,000, or so much thereof as
18    may  be  necessary  and  remains  unexpended  at the close of
19    business on June 30, 2003, from an  appropriation  heretofore
20    made  in  Article  1,  Section  20  of  Public Act 92-717, is
21    reappropriated from the Capital Development Fund to the Board

 1    of Trustees of Chicago State University to purchase equipment
 2    to complete the construction of the Convocation Center.  This
 3    appropriation  is  in  addition  to  any   funds   previously
 4    appropriated.

 5        Section  99.   Effective  date.  This Act takes effect on
 6    July 1, 2003."
