 1                    AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3532

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill 3532 on page 1,  by
 3    replacing all of lines 16 through 23 with the following:
 4        "(b)  If  a person who has been convicted of a felony and
 5    has violated mandatory supervised release for that felony  is
 6    incarcerated  in  a county jail pending the resolution of the
 7    violation  of  mandatory  supervised  release,  the  Illinois
 8    Department of Corrections shall pay the county in which  that
 9    jail  is  located  one-half  of the cost of incarceration, as
10    calculated by the Illinois  Bureau  of  the  Budget  and  the
11    county's  chief  financial  officer,  for  each  day that the
12    person remains in the county jail.  Calculation  of  the  per
13    diem  cost  shall  be agreed upon prior to the passage of the
14    annual State budget.".
