 1                    AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1535

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill 1535  by  replacing
 3    everything after the enacting clause with the following:

 4        "Section  5.  The  Department  of State Police Law of the
 5    Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is  amended  by  adding
 6    Section 2605-310 as follows:

 7        (20 ILCS 2605/2605-310 new)
 8        Sec.  2605-310.   Office of Domestic Violence Prevention.
 9    The Department shall establish an Office of Domestic Violence
10    Prevention through its partnership with the Illinois Regional
11    Institute  for  Community  Policing  (RICP).  The  Office  of
12    Domestic Violence Prevention at the  Regional  Institute  for
13    Community  Policing  shall  continue  to collaborate with the
14    Department of Human  Services  on  coordinating  cross-system
15    services  in response to domestic violence. Services include,
16    but are not limited to, those of law enforcement, the courts,
17    human services, health agencies,  community-based  providers,
18    employers, and schools.".
