 1                     AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 120

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill 120 as follows:
 3    on page  1,  immediately  below  line  3,  by  inserting  the
 4    following:

 5        "Section  2.  The  Township  Code  is  amended  by adding
 6    Section 166 as follows:

 7        (60 ILCS 30/166) new)
 8        Sec. 30-166.  Charge against non-residents.
 9        (a)  The township board of each township may fix, charge,
10    and collect fees not exceeding the  reasonable  cost  of  the
11    service  for  all  services  rendered by the township against
12    persons, businesses, and other entities who are not residents
13    of the township.
14        (b)  The charge may not be assessed against residents  of
15    the  township or persons who request fire protection coverage
16    for an unprotected area and who pay to the township an amount
17    equal to the township's fire protection tax under Article 200
18    of this Code.
19        (c)  The charge for such services shall be computed at  a
20    rate  not  to  exceed  $125  per  hour per vehicle and not to
21    exceed $35 per hour per firefighter responding to a call  for
22    assistance.   An additional charge may be levied to reimburse

 1    the township for extraordinary expenses of materials used  in
 2    rendering such services. No charge shall be made for services
 3    for which the total charge would be less than $50.
 4        (d)  All  revenue  from  the charges assessed pursuant to
 5    this Section shall be deposited into the general fund of  the
 6    township."; and

 7    on page 1, line 6, by replacing "55" with "65".
