 1                     AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 100

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill 100 on page  1,  by
 3    inserting after line 23 the following:

 4        "Section 15.  The Park District Code is amended by adding
 5    Section 8-30 as follows:

 6        (70 ILCS 1205/8-30 new)
 7        Sec.  8-30. Advisory referenda. By a vote of the majority
 8    of the members of the park  district  board,  the  board  may
 9    authorize  an advisory question of public policy to be placed
10    on the ballot at the next regularly scheduled election in the
11    district. The board shall certify the question to the  proper
12    election  authority,  which  must  submit  the question at an
13    election in accordance with the Election Code.".
