SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Daniel Playfair Field of Lake Forest, who passed away on January 27, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Daniel Field graduated from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with honors in 1971, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa; he subsequently earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Illinois College of Law in 1974; and

WHEREAS, From 1975 and 1982, Daniel Field prosecuted all types of criminal cases as an Assistant State's Attorney in Peoria County and Lake County; he served as a Special Assistant State's Attorney for Lake County since 1985; he was also appointed special counsel by various municipalities, school boards, fire protection districts, and sanitary districts in Lake County; and

WHEREAS, Daniel Field was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Virginia Field; and

WHEREAS, Daniel Field is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years, Kathleen (nee Donlon); his loving children, Emily Field, Andrew (Kelsey) Field, and Katherine Field; and his siblings, Capt. Michael (Lorraine) Field (ret.) and Priscilla (Christopher) Nugent; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Daniel Playfair Field; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Daniel Field as an expression of our sympathy.
