SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Elizabeth J. Ritt of Crystal Lake, who
4passed away on November 19, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Elizabeth Ritt was born on February 19, 1929 in
6Highland Park; her parents were Norman and Ethel Ring; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Elizabeth Ritt spent her early years in the
8Antioch and Lake Villa areas and graduated from Antioch High
9School in 1947; and
 
10    WHEREAS, After marrying and moving to Crystal Lake,
11Elizabeth Ritt worked in the offices of Drs. Hillstrom, Bryant,
12and Wall, as well as Dr. Paul Wilson; she also worked as an
13admissions coordinator at McHenry County College for many years
14until 1984; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Elizabeth Ritt was a creative woman who always had
16several projects going at one time; she loved cooking, baking,
17sewing, needlework, and gardening; she also designed and made
18many banners for Immanuel Lutheran Church; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Elizabeth Ritt was preceded in death by her
20parents and her brother, Lester Ring; and

1    WHEREAS, Elizabeth Ritt is survived by her daughters,
2Cynthia Ritt (Andy Snarski) and Barbara (Mark) Balasi; her
3AFS-USA daughter, Ana Maria (Oscar) Pereira; her
4grandchildren, Geoff Balasi, Maria Balasi, Alexandre Pereira,
5Ana Paula Pereira, Nicole Snarski, and Alex Snarski; her
6sisters, Laura Barden, Arvis (George) Nelson, and Aleeta
7Osmond; her brothers, Edward Ring and Wallace (Vicki) Ring; her
8ex-husband, Vernon Ritt; her 30 loving nieces and nephews; and
9many others who refer to her as their "other mother";
10therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
12ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
13family and friends, mourn the passing of Elizabeth J. Ritt; and
14be it further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Elizabeth Ritt as an expression of
17our sympathy.
