SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Edwin C. Stoyanoff of Waukegan, who
4passed away on January 14, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Edwin Stoyanoff was born on April 3, 1927, in
6Waukegan to Christ and Stella (nee Czija) Stoyanoff; he married
7Joan Zoph; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Edwin Stoyanoff worked for, and retired from,
9Outboard Marine Corporation after 43 years in Marine
10Engineering; he was a veteran of World War II and the Korean
11War, serving in the U.S. Navy SeaBees; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Edwin Stoyanoff was a 3rd degree member of Council
13731 of the Knights of Columbus, a member of the Waukegan
14Citizens Police Academy, and former member of the Waukegan Elks
15Lodge; he was a member of St. Anastasia Parish, the Holy Name
16Society, and was a founder of St. Anastasia Bingo; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Edwin Stoyanoff was preceded in death by his
18parents and his sister, Rose Traynoff; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Edwin Stoyanoff is survived by his wife of 58
20years, Joan; his children, Christopher (Linda) Stoyanoff,

1Clarice (Robert) Chesney, Marc (Louise) Stoyanoff, and Michael
2(Pamela) Stoyanoff; his grandchildren, Richard and Ryan
3Chesney, Katie, Stephanie, Stephen, Jaclyn, Julie, and
4Jennifer Stoyanoff; and numerous nieces and nephews;
5therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Edwin Stoyanoff, and we extend our sincere condolences to his
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Edwin Stoyanoff as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
