SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Vera Veljkovic of Waukegan, who passed away on September 13, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Vera Veljkovic was born on November 19, 1925 in Serbia; and

WHEREAS, Vera Veljkovic enjoyed gardening and knitting; and

WHEREAS, Vera Veljkovic was a member of Most Holy Mother of God Serbian Orthodox Church in Third Lake; and

WHEREAS, Vera Veljkovic was preceded in death by her husband, Miodrag; her 2 brothers; and her sister; and

WHEREAS, Vera Veljkovic is survived by her sons, Vojislav Veljkovic and Branko (Vesna) Veljkovic; her daughter, Donka Stefanovic; her 7 grandchildren; her 3 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Rada Flesher; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Vera Veljkovic; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Vera Veljkovic as an expression of our sympathy.
