SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Curtis Keith Davies of Washington, who passed away on March 29, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Curtis Davies was born on April 7, 1944, in Mayflower, Arizona; his parents were Clordies and Wyoma Mae Ella Hancock Davies; he married Farrell Hartman on August 13, 1994, in Washington; and

WHEREAS, Curtis Davies served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War; and

WHEREAS, Curtis Davies was self-employed in the financial services industry; and

WHEREAS, Curtis Davies was a member of the First United Methodist Church and loved his friends in the Adelphian class; and

WHEREAS, Curtis Davies was preceded in death by his parents and his sister; and

WHEREAS, Curtis Davies is survived by his wife, Farrell; his children, Camille Mandel, Chris Davies, Curt (Rachael) Davies, Cim (Eugene) Collins, John Hallmann, Laura (Jeremy Turner) Hallmann, and Keith Treadwell; his 16 grandchildren; and his 4 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Curtis Keith Davies; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Curtis Davies as an expression of our sympathy.
