SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Joseph Sekulich, Jr. of Beach Park, who passed away on September 29, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Joseph Sekulich, Jr. served his country for 3 and a half years as a member of the United States Navy during World War II; and

WHEREAS, Joseph Sekulich, Jr. was a member of Plumbers Local Union 93 for over 50 years; and

WHEREAS, Joseph Sekulich, Jr. enjoyed gardening, tractors, building, mechanical work, and helping others; and

WHEREAS, Joseph Sekulich, Jr. was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph, Sr. and Kata (nee Vrkljan) Sekulich; a son, James; and 5 sisters, Mary Bosnak, Katherine Koch, Ann Sekulich, Eva Tucka, and Mary Creamer; and

WHEREAS, Joseph Sekulich, Jr. is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Joyce (nee McFarland); 3 children, Joseph (Judy), Jerry, and Jill Sekulich; 4 grandchildren, Andrea Sekulich (Nick) Chin, Anthony Lieck, and Samantha and Zachary Sekulich; a great-grandchild, Caden-James Chin; a sister, Matilda Sekulich; 2 brothers, John (Sharon) and Steven Sekulich; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Joseph Sekulich, Jr.; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Joseph Sekulich, Jr. as an expression of our sympathy.
