SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Joseph Sekulich, Jr. of Beach Park, who
4passed away on September 29, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Joseph Sekulich, Jr. served his country for 3 and
6a half years as a member of the United States Navy during World
7War II; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Joseph Sekulich, Jr. was a member of Plumbers
9Local Union 93 for over 50 years; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Joseph Sekulich, Jr. enjoyed gardening, tractors,
11building, mechanical work, and helping others; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Joseph Sekulich, Jr. was preceded in death by his
13parents, Joseph, Sr. and Kata (nee Vrkljan) Sekulich; a son,
14James; and 5 sisters, Mary Bosnak, Katherine Koch, Ann
15Sekulich, Eva Tucka, and Mary Creamer; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Joseph Sekulich, Jr. is survived by his loving
17wife of 62 years, Joyce (nee McFarland); 3 children, Joseph
18(Judy), Jerry, and Jill Sekulich; 4 grandchildren, Andrea
19Sekulich (Nick) Chin, Anthony Lieck, and Samantha and Zachary
20Sekulich; a great-grandchild, Caden-James Chin; a sister,

1Matilda Sekulich; 2 brothers, John (Sharon) and Steven
2Sekulich; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
5family and friends, mourn the passing of Joseph Sekulich, Jr.;
6and be it further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Joseph Sekulich, Jr. as an
9expression of our sympathy.
