SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Harvey F. Moravec of Crystal Lake, who passed away on September 13, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Harvey Moravec was born in Chicago on October 2, 1936 to George and Elizabeth (nee Fredrickson) Moravec; he was a resident of Crystal Lake for 34 years; and

WHEREAS, Harvey Moravec was a master plumber and was a member of Chicago Plumber's Union Local #130; for many years he worked on the Magnificent Mile and helped build many high rise buildings; throughout his career, he worked for Schuepfer Plumbing, Corboy Plumbing, Ryan Plumbing, and did independent construction with Quinco Corporation; he also did honorary work at the naval base in Glenview, for which he received an award; and

WHEREAS, Harvey Moravec was an avid Chicago Blackhawks and Chicago Cubs fan; and

WHEREAS, Harvey Moravec was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Dolores Peters; and

WHEREAS, Harvey Moravec is survived by his wife, Sharon F. Moravec (nee Lemke); children, David Moravec, Kimberly (Mark) Severson, and Matthew (Emily) Moravec; grandchildren, Michael, Jonathan, and Lauren Severson; step-grandchildren, Ashley Sargus and Ryan, James, and Nancy Vegetabile; and his brother, George (late Gloria) Moravec; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Harvey F. Moravec, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Harvey Moravec as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
