SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of James A. Lewis of McHenry, who passed away on August 18, 2014; and

WHEREAS, James Lewis was born on January 26, 1936; his parents were Preston and Martha (nee Zavadil) Lewis; he married Dorothy Kratochvil on October 10, 1959 at Mary Queen of Heaven Church in Cicero; and

WHEREAS, James Lewis worked for United Airlines as a mechanic for 42 years; and

WHEREAS, James Lewis was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4600 in McHenry; and

WHEREAS, James Lewis enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, vacationing in Hawaii, and fishing; and

WHEREAS, James Lewis was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, James Lewis is survived by his wife of 54 years, Dorothy, and his extended family members; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of James A. Lewis; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of James Lewis as an expression of our sympathy.
