SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Clarence I. Stenberg of Chicago, who passed away on September 18, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Clarence Stenberg was born on October 1, 1927 and was a long-time resident of the Edison Park neighborhood; and

WHEREAS, Clarence Stenberg was a United States Army Air Corps veteran of World War II; and

WHEREAS, Clarence Stenberg was the beloved husband of 64 years to Anna Marie (nee Peterson); the loving father of John, Peter (Kay), and Paul (Sheila) Stenberg; the proud grandfather of Kristina (Nick) VanderWoude, Erik (Michelle) Stenberg, and Katie Stenberg; and the great-grandfather of Gram and Levi VanderWoude; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Clarence I. Stenberg, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Clarence Stenberg as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
