SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Florence Theresa Kayser of McHenry; and

WHEREAS, Florence Kayser was born on May 20, 1954 in Chicago; her parents were William and Gertrude (nee Marino) Dodd; she was raised in Chicago and lived for a time in Glenview and Niles before moving to New York with her parents; after high school, she and her family moved back to Chicago; she moved to Crystal Lake in 1988 and lived in McHenry County for the remainder of her life; and

WHEREAS, Florence Kayser served as a flight attendant with United Airlines for over 30 years, having earned senior flight status with the airline; she also was the owner of Florence's Galleria, her traveling shop and business; and

WHEREAS, Florence Kayser attended St. Thomas Church in Crystal Lake; and

WHEREAS, Florence Kayser enjoyed fashion and interior design, cooking and baking, hosting parties, the outdoors, going to concerts, especially the Smashing Pumpkins, and shopping; she was also an avid traveler; and

WHEREAS, Florence Kayser was preceded in death by her parents; and

WHEREAS, Florence Kayser is survived by a son and daughter in law, Brian (Stacie) Kayser; a brother, Frank Dodd; an aunt, Angelina Masi; her closest cousin, Peggy Olson; and her daughter-in-law's parents, Mark and Saundra Zehrer; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Florence Theresa Kayser; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Florence Kayser as an expression of our sympathy.
