SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Florence Theresa Kayser of McHenry; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Florence Kayser was born on May 20, 1954 in
5Chicago; her parents were William and Gertrude (nee Marino)
6Dodd; she was raised in Chicago and lived for a time in
7Glenview and Niles before moving to New York with her parents;
8after high school, she and her family moved back to Chicago;
9she moved to Crystal Lake in 1988 and lived in McHenry County
10for the remainder of her life; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Florence Kayser served as a flight attendant with
12United Airlines for over 30 years, having earned senior flight
13status with the airline; she also was the owner of Florence's
14Galleria, her traveling shop and business; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Florence Kayser attended St. Thomas Church in
16Crystal Lake; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Florence Kayser enjoyed fashion and interior
18design, cooking and baking, hosting parties, the outdoors,
19going to concerts, especially the Smashing Pumpkins, and
20shopping; she was also an avid traveler; and

1    WHEREAS, Florence Kayser was preceded in death by her
2parents; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Florence Kayser is survived by a son and daughter
4in law, Brian (Stacie) Kayser; a brother, Frank Dodd; an aunt,
5Angelina Masi; her closest cousin, Peggy Olson; and her
6daughter-in-law's parents, Mark and Saundra Zehrer; therefore,
7be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
10family and friends, mourn the passing of Florence Theresa
11Kayser; and be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Florence Kayser as an expression of
14our sympathy.
