SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Raymond G. Card of Waukegan, who passed
4away on March 24, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Raymond Card was born in Chicago on October 20,
61938 to Jesse and Lillian (nee Schultz) Card; he grew up on a
7farm in Lake County and graduated from Grayslake High School in
81957; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Raymond Card worked for Reed-Randle Ford and the
10Waukegan Regional Airport; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Raymond Card was a member of the Lake County
12Republican Federation's Board of Governors, and in 2013, he
13received their Lifetime Achievement award recognizing all he
14had done for the Republican Party; he was also the Republican
15Party's Waukegan Township Chairman and a precinct
16committeeman; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Raymond Card was preceded in death by his parents,
18and by his 8 brothers and sisters; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Raymond Card is survived by his children, Greg
20(Lisa) Card, Meg (David) Frey, Jeff Card, Nickie (Darrell)

1Oliver, Neller (Leonides) Polanco, and Chris (Michelle) Card;
2his grandchildren, Harrison, Trevor, Louis, Julia, Ben, Nate,
3Maggie, Marnie (Deryk), Mallory (Chaz), Donny, Austin, and
4Amber; his great-grandchildren, Jamie, John, Michael, and
5Adin; and his numerous nephews and nieces; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Raymond G. Card, and extend our sincere condolences to his
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Raymond Card as an expression of our
13deepest sympathy.
