HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Jeffrey Manus of Freeport High School on the occasion of his victory at the 2014 IHSA speech finals; and

WHEREAS, After securing victory in 2014 Downers Grove South Tournament and the Dramatic Duet Acting and Dramatic Interpretation portions of the 2014 IHSA Regional and Sectional Tournaments, Jeffrey Manus won the 2014 IHSA State Championship in Dramatic Interpretation with ranks of 1,1,1,1,2; and

WHEREAS, Jeffrey Manus is a 3-time IHSA State Speaker and served as Freeport High School's team captain during the 2013-2014 school year; and

WHEREAS, Jeffrey Manus serves as a model of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Jeffrey Manus on the occasion of his victory at the 2014 IHSA speech finals and wish him continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Jeffrey Manus as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
