HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Dr. Tracey Cook on being named Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3873 Outstanding Citizenship Educator of the Year; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Tracey Cook has a passion for teaching and has been with Neuqua Valley High School in Naperville since 1999 as a social studies teacher; she enthusiastically leads high students through courses in world history, American studies, United States history, and military history; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Tracey Cook earned her master's degree in education from Northern Illinois University in 2004 and her doctorate degree in curriculum leadership in 2013; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Tracey Cook lives in Lisle with her husband, Donald, and they have 2 children; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Tracey Cook will now compete at the State level with the Illinois winner being announced in Springfield on February 8, 2014 at the annual Voice of Democracy banquet; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Dr. Tracey Cook on being named Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3873 Outstanding Citizenship Educator of the Year; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Dr. Tracey Cook as an expression of our esteem and respect.
