HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Jazmyne JoAnn Harris, who passed away on October 24, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Jazmyne Harris was born on October 19, 1999 in Peoria to Christopher Harris and Gretchen Widger; and

WHEREAS, Jazmyne Harris was an 8th-grade honor roll student as well as a National Honor Roll member at Martin City School in Martin City, Missouri; she enjoyed school and learning and was an avid fan of One Direction and Justin Bieber; and

WHEREAS, Jazmyne Harris passed away along side of her step-father, Justin Williams; she was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Gregory Widger and James Harris; and

WHEREAS, Jazmyne Harris is survived by her mother, Gretchen Williams; her sister, Andrea; her father, Christopher Harris; her brothers, Justin, Jr. and Christopher Harris; her grandparents, Rick and Emma Descamps, Bill and Judy Whitman, Rita Williams, Lafelda Jones, and Clifford Williams; and a host of other relatives and many friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Jazmyne JoAnn Harris, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jazmyne Harris as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
