HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate the Hinsdale Central High School girls varsity soccer team, the Red Devils, on winning the 2013 regional championship; and

WHEREAS, The Hinsdale Red Devils defeated Wheaton North, 2 to one, to win the regional championship; and

WHEREAS, Alison Cerny scored the winning goal with less than 2 minutes remaining in second-half regulation time; and

WHEREAS, The Red Devils compiled an 18-4-3 regular season record during their march to the playoffs; and

WHEREAS, The Red Devils are Katy Coseglia, Riley Glenn, Alison Cerny, Caitlin Smith (captain), Casey May, Jenn Jarmy (captain), Madeline Engelking, Christa Kuhlman, Danielle Shayani, Lauren Zapka, Darby Moran (captain), Erin Smith, Abby Gurka, Jenny Saviski, Kaitlyn Livingston, Meghan Schick, Katherine Treankler, Lily Chetosky, Emily LaRocque, and Katie Camden; the managers are Emily Morris and Sarah Trach; and

WHEREAS, The Red Devils are coached by head coach Michael M. Smith and assistant coaches Brian Drelicharz, Harrison Bull, Alex Hipskind, Ed Lynch, and Mike Wiggins; and

WHEREAS, The Red Devils will have many key players returning for the 2014 season and envision many more successful years in their future; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the Hinsdale Central High School girls soccer team, the Red Devils, on winning the 2013 regional championship; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Hinsdale Red Devils as an expression of our esteem and respect.
