HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives wish to honor Rev. Henry Roso for his many
4years of service to the people of the Village of Bradley; and
 
5    WHEREAS, In February of 2002, Rev. Henry Roso was appointed
6to the newly established, volunteer Bradley Police Chaplain
7program by then-Chief Donald Kufner in an effort to assist
8department members with stressful situations and to serve as a
9resource to counsel and help victims of crime and tragedies;
10and
 
11    WHEREAS, Since 2002, Rev. Henry Roso has expanded his
12services to the Bradley Fire Department, the Bourbonnais Fire
13Protection District, the Kankakee County Coroner's Office,
14MABAS Division 7, and all public safety agencies within
15Kankakee County; and
 
16    WHEREAS, In addition to his work as chaplain, Rev. Henry
17Roso has served as Vice-President of the Evangelical Church
18Alliance and as Pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church in Kankakee;
19he has also served on the Kankakee County Victims Assistance
20board, established the local chaplains program, and assisted
21with numerous community events; and

1    WHEREAS, Rev. Henry Roso is well known and regarded
2throughout the Bradley community and beyond for the counsel,
3prayers, and support he has rendered countless people in need;
4and
 
5    WHEREAS, Rev. Henry Roso and his family are moving to South
6Dakota at the end of May 2013; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
8NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
9we honor Rev. Henry Roso for his many years of service to the
10people of the Village of Bradley and wish him continued success
11and happiness in the future; and be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to Rev. Henry Roso as a symbol of our esteem and
14respect.
