HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives wish to honor Kenneth A. Kruse on the occasion
4of his 50 years of service in community banking; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Kenneth Kruse was born on December 2, 1946; he is
6a lifelong resident of Steeleville and a graduate of
7Steeleville High School; he subsequently earned a degree from
8the School of Banking in Madison, Wisconsin in 1972; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Kenneth Kruse began his banking career at First
10National Bank of Steeleville on June 15, 1964 as a Loan Officer
11Trainee; after serving his country in the United States Army
12from February of 1966 to February of 1968, he returned to the
13bank in 1968 to work as an Assistant Cashier; in 1975, he was
14designated as Vice President of Operations; in 1987, he was
15selected to serve on the Board of Directors; in the late-1990s,
16he became the bank's Senior Vice President of Operations; he
17has also served as the bank's Financial Investment Advisor; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Kenneth Kruse is the proprietor of Kenneth A.
19Kruse Tax Preparation and Planning in Steeleville; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Kenneth Kruse is an active member of his
21community; he was a member of the Steeleville Town Board; he is

1a charter member of Steeleville Jaycees; he is also a member of
2St. Mark's Lutheran Church, the American Legion, and the
3Steeleville Nutrition Site Board; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Kenneth Kruse enjoys working on his farm property,
5driving his Corvettes, and traveling with his wife; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Kenneth Kruse and his wife, Jane (nee Tanner)
7Kruse, have one son, Eric Kruse; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Kenneth Kruse serves as a model of hard work,
9integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of
10Illinois; therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
12NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
13we honor Kenneth A. Kruse on the occasion of his 50 years of
14service in community banking and wish him continued success and
15happiness in the future; and be it further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to Kenneth Kruse as a symbol of our esteem and
18respect.
