HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Fred Lumpkin of Maywood, who passed away on March 15, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Fred Lumpkin was born in Hollandale, Mississippi, where he attended school through high school, and he served in the United States Army for 4 years; he married Lillian Lumpkin and was a Maywood resident for over 65 years; and

WHEREAS, Fred Lumpkin worked at Bachalls Cleaners in Maywood for over 35 years; and

WHEREAS, Fred Lumpkin enjoyed spending time with family and friends; and

WHEREAS, Fred Lumpkin was preceded in death by his wife, and by 4 siblings; and

WHEREAS, Fred Lumpkin is survived by 3 siblings, David and Roosevelt Lumpkin and Barbara Simmons; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Fred Lumpkin, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Fred Lumpkin as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
