SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of James "Jim" Marvin Mumma, who passed
4away on June 29, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jim Mumma was born to Rex and Leona (Lanners)
6Mumma in Moline on June 4, 1951; he served in the U.S. Army and
7was stationed in Aschaffenburg, Germany; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Upon returning from Germany, Jim Mumma began his
9career at John Deere Harvester, East Moline; after 40 years of
10employment, he retired in January of 2014; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Jim Mumma loved fishing, hunting, and playing
12cards; most of all, he loved spending time with family and
13friends; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Jim Mumma was preceded in death by his parents
15and his father-in-law, Marvin Bowles; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Jim Mumma is survived by his wife, Kathy; his
17daughter, Megan (Dan) Matthies; his stepchildren, Drew Kerr,
18Mackenzie (Steven) Menegus, and Chase (Kelly) Young; his
19granddaughter, Piper; his grandson, James; his brothers,
20Kenneth (Debi) Mumma and Randy (Cindy) Mumma; his many

1cousins; and his mother-in-law, Ruth Bowles; therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4James "Jim" Marvin Mumma and extend our sincere condolences to
5his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
6further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Jim Mumma as an expression of our
9deepest sympathy.
