SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Richard G. Austin of Aurora, who passed away on December 4, 2022; and

WHEREAS, Richard Austin was born in Springfield to Otis and Lora Austin; and

WHEREAS, Richard Austin was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Sandra A. Minicher; and

WHEREAS, Richard Austin is survived by his wife, Susan C. Austin; his daughters, T. Beth (Tim) Britt, Tatiana K. Austin, and Laurie A. (Mike) Barkdoll; his grandchildren, Jake (Katie) Thelen, Rachel Thelen, Tyler (Christina) Barkdoll, and Zach Barkdoll; his nieces, Lee Ann Gathard and Bailee Woods; and four great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Richard G. Austin and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Richard Austin as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
