HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, James "Jim" R. Street began his career with the Normal Fire Department on June 1, 1999 and worked as an EMT/fire fighter until 2007, when he entered and passed the Paramedic program; and

WHEREAS, In 2017, Jim Street was promoted to engineer; and

WHEREAS, Jim Street dedicated himself to keeping local communities safe; during his career, he assisted in saving many lives and delivered two babies; and

WHEREAS, Jim Street has also been an active member of IAFF Local 2442 and the AFFI Honor Guard, where he serves as the Local 2442 Drill Captain; and

WHEREAS, After serving the Normal Fire Department with honor and pride for 23 and a half years, Jim Street's final shift will be on November 12, 2022; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we commend James "Jim" R. Street for more than two decades of dedicated service to the Normal community, and we wish him well in all of his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Jim Street on the occasion of his retirement from the Normal Fire Department.
