HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Zack Hawkinson on the occasion of his scoring 1,000 points during his basketball career at Sacred Heart-Griffin (SHG) High School; and

WHEREAS, Zack Hawkinson has been a dominant force in the game of basketball, standing at an impressive height of 6 foot 6 inches and weighing 210 pounds, beating the national averages in points per game, assists per game, rebounds per game, steals per game, and blocks per game; and

WHEREAS, Zack Hawkinson was never a junior varsity player, displaying his skills at the highest level of high school basketball for all four years of his career, which is no easy feat; and

WHEREAS, Zack Hawkinson's natural talents were only enhanced by the camaraderie of his teammates and the wisdom of his coaches, leading him to develop into an undeniable key player of the SHG High School basketball program; and

WHEREAS, Zack Hawkinson brought pride to number 21, his jersey number; and

WHEREAS, Zack Hawkinson will surely be successful in all of his future endeavors, whether they be related to the sport of basketball or not; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Zack Hawkinson of Sacred Heart-Griffin High School for his accomplishments on the basketball court, and we commend him for his hard work and dedication to the sport; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Zack Hawkinson as an expression of our esteem and respect.
