SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
705 ILCS 105/27.11 new

    Amends the Clerks of Courts Act. Provides that each clerk of the circuit court must report to the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts every 30 days the following: (1) the number of persons who were released on bond within the circuit; (2) for each bonded offense, the name of the judge who issued the bond; and (3) the offense for which bond was set, the amount of bond, and if the person admitted to bail was released on electronic monitoring. Provides that the information described in this provision is a public record and is disclosable under the Freedom of Information Act from the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts. Provides that the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts shall determine the manner in which the information is reported to the Office from the clerks of courts. Effective immediately.

1    AN ACT concerning courts.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Clerks of Courts Act is amended by adding
5Section 27.11 as follows:
 
6    (705 ILCS 105/27.11 new)
7    Sec. 27.11. Clerks of courts; report to the Administrative
8Office of the Illinois Courts.
9    (a) Each clerk of the circuit court must report to the
10Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts every 30 days the
11following:
12        (1) the number of persons who were released on bond
13    within the circuit;
14        (2) for each bonded offense, the name of the judge who
15    issued the bond; and
16        (3) the offense for which bond was set, the amount of
17    bond, and if the person admitted to bail was released on
18    electronic monitoring.
19    (b) The information described in subsection (a) is a
20public record and is disclosable under the Freedom of
21Information Act from the Administrative Office of the Illinois
22Courts. The Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts shall

2    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
3becoming law.
