| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Charles Cerk of Waukegan, who passed away | 4 | | on August 25, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Charles Cerk graduated from Waukegan High School | 6 | | in 1954 and served in the U.S. Army from April 19, 1956 to | 7 | | March 26, 1958; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Charles Cerk retired from US Steel and Abbott | 9 | | Laboratories; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Charles Cerk was a member of Zion-Benton Moose | 11 | | Lodge 667, the Abbott Men's Club, the US Steel Retirees Club, | 12 | | and the Slovenic National Home; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Charles Cerk was preceded in death by his parents, | 14 | | Charles and Lisle Cerk; his sister, Jean Bauer; and his nephew, | 15 | | Craig Bauer; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Charles Cerk is survived by his wife of 57 years, | 17 | | Janet; his daughters, Cheryl (Roger) Kreul and Caryn (Tony) | 18 | | Martin; his grandchildren, Alex (Robin) Kreul, Zachary Kreul, | 19 | | Mitchell Kreul, Angelica Kreul, Lauren Ripley, and Benjamin | 20 | | Tollefson; his great-grandchild, Michael John; and his |
