| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Douglas K. "Doug" Grubbs of Moline, who | 4 | | passed away on September 21, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Doug Grubbs was born in Moline to Gerald and | 6 | | Shirley (Jennings) Grubbs on September 1, 1957; he served in | 7 | | the U.S. Army and married Teresa Mayers Long in Moline on | 8 | | December 21, 2012; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Doug Grubbs was an equipment installer at the Rock | 10 | | Island Arsenal for 38 years; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Doug Grubbs loved music, playing guitar and drums, | 12 | | and riding his Harley; he was a hugger and enjoyed reading and | 13 | | watching birds from his deck; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Doug Grubbs is survived by his wife, Teresa; his | 15 | | children and their spouses, Sandra and Steven Rease and Justin | 16 | | and Wendy Grubbs; his grandchildren, Logan Grubbs and Kaitlyn, | 17 | | Kailee, and Madison Rease; his stepchildren and their fiancees, | 18 | | Chad Long and Candace Martin, Nolan Long and Ashley, and | 19 | | Alexandra Long and Jared Grassberger; his stepgrandchildren, | 20 | | Chase, Jordan, and Nevaeh Long, and Jason Grassberger; his | 21 | | siblings and their spouses, Fred "Bud" and Angela Grubbs, |
