SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Robert Oren Montgomery of Brighton, who
4passed away on July 26, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert Montgomery was born in Alton on May 17,
61970; his father and stepmother are Robert and Gloria (Ament)
7Montgomery, and his mother is Kathleen (Blair) Hampton; he
8married Donna McAfee in Bunker Hill on November 2, 1990; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Robert Montgomery operated Montgomery Trucking
10and Landscaping; he also worked at the Waldbart Nursery in
11Bunker Hill for 26 years and for The Village of Brighton for
12five years; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Robert Montgomery was a member of the Teamsters
14Local 525; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Robert Montgomery was preceded in death by his
16grandparents, John and Lucy (Manar) Ament, Robert and Pauline
17(Smith) Montgomery, and Ernie and Aggie (Wendle) Blair; his
18nephew, Clifford McAfee Jr.; his father-in-law, Pete McAfee;
19and his brother-in-law, Donald McAfee; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Robert Montgomery is survived by his sons,

1Jonathon and Joshua Montgomery; and his brothers, George Benke
2and Anthony (Erin) Montgomery; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Robert Oren Montgomery and extend our sincere condolences to
6his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Robert Montgomery as an expression
10of our deepest sympathy.
