SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Brett K. Mense of Taylorville, who passed
4away on June 7, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Brett Mense was born in Taylorville to Larry and
6Sharon (Hunt) Mense on March 9, 1961; he married Laurie Kenny
7in Springfield on March 15, 1985; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Brett Mense was an inventory analyst at ADM in
9Decatur; he traveled extensively with his job and formed
10friendships around the world; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Brett Mense was an active member of the community;
12he loved all sports and spent many years playing and coaching
13baseball and softball; he knew no strangers and always had a
14smile, a laugh, or a helping hand for those in need; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Brett Mense was preceded in death by his
16grandparents, Tony and Sis Hunt and Henry and Irene Mense; his
17great-uncle, Ed Smith; and his uncles, Davey and Duane Hunt;
18and
 
19    WHEREAS, Brett Mense is survived by his wife, Laurie; his
20sons, Brett and Kyle Mense; his grandpuppies, Elle, Lucy, and

1Gus; his parents; his sister, Rhonda Mense; and his many aunts,
2uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Brett K. Mense and extend our sincere condolences to his
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Brett Mense as an expression of our
10deepest sympathy.
