SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of James Blair of East Alton, who passed away on May 9, 2018; and

WHEREAS, James Blair was born in East Alton to Mitchell G. and Ruby Pearl (Diamond) Blair on March 14, 1931; he married Sara N. Wiseman on June 24, 1950; and

WHEREAS, James Blair was employed for 30 years as a delivery driver at Schwartz Furniture in Wood River; and

WHEREAS, James Blair enjoyed fishing, camping, and playing cards; and

WHEREAS, James Blair was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Doris Jensen, Shirley Rostek, Nancy Campbell, Anne Cox, and Kay Posik; and

WHEREAS, James Blair is survived by his wife, Sara; his sons, William G. Blair (Kim Hawkins) and James (Theresa) Blair Jr.; his daughter, Kimberly (James) Berry; his grandchildren, Christopher (Cherie) Blair, Justin (Deanna) Blair, Nicholas Blair, and Amanda (Collin) Foster; his great-grandchildren, Sophie, Eva, Caleb, Courtney, Sara, and Jordan; and many other extended family and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of James Blair, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of James Blair as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
